I like to send a private message or a post card either from my laptop or my phone. It's easy to send a thank you via private message by selecting Messages in the main menu and click Compose.
Receiving a post card is always fun, so you can easily send one by clicking the "Send a postcard" link under Civic Center in the left column then select "Greeting card." On mobile, tap the bird icon at the bottom of the page and select "Greeting card." There are lots of cards to choose from.
You can also visit their city and give them kindreds on one of their posts as a thank you.
Be sure and post some of your ideas on other ways to say thank you, and you'll receive kindreds as a thank you!
