A few walnuts = Boosted brain and heart health

When it comes to health and fitness articles, there’s a recurring go-to headline you may have seen: “What happens to your body when you (article topic) every day.” I’ve seen topics like “do 100 push-ups,” “drink 2 liters of water,” “walk 3 miles,” and “do 50 glute bridges every day.”
Sometimes I’ll click, and other times I’ll pass, but when I saw “What happens to your body when you eat walnuts every day,” my curiosity piqued because a bowl of Greek yogurt with a small handful of walnuts frequently accompanies my lunch.
The Omega-3 fatty acids and nutrients in walnuts check several boxes when it comes to heart health. They protect the heart and lower stroke risk by preventing plaque buildup in arteries and lowering triglyceride levels.
The brain gets some love from walnuts, too. A recent study found that when consumed in the morning, executive functions, such as task management and problem-solving, were performed faster, and memory recall was also improved, even after 6 hours.
There’s also evidence that nutrients and antioxidants in walnuts may help with sleep and even reduce the risk of certain cancers.

Walnuts look like a miniature brain. I think it's nature's way of letting us know that they're good for our brain in a multitude of ways, including those not yet researched. I'm glad science has caught on.
