Nurse daily affirmations

In a 2011 survey sponsored by the American Nurses Association (ANA), nurses identified the acute and chronic effects of stress and overwork as one of their two top safety and health concerns.
The responsibilities that come with nursing can create extraordinary stress. Dealing with blood and other bodily fluids, implementing patient care plans, and assisting in medical procedures, hospital nurses often work grueling hours, are continuously exposed to germs and illness, and contend with emotionally charged patients and family members, and doctors alike.
During the Covid crisis, hospitals were in chaos, some with dozens of patients dying each day. Burnout doesn’t begin to describe the physical and emotional turmoil staff members suffered, describing to reporters how they felt they were in a war with no end. In 2023, an estimated 100,000 nurses in the US left the medical industry due to pandemic-related burnout and stress.
“Nurse daily affirmations” is a sign that hangs in a hospital where my friend works. For her and her fellow nurses, it serves as a soulful reminder of how needed they are, why they do the work, and how to keep their spiritual tank full in the face of their many challenges. Spending time with these positive and grounding affirmations can fill anyone's spiritual tank, regardless of vocation.
If you happen to know a nurse or anyone in the medical industry who faces a daily emotional grind, puts the needs of others first, and does so with all they’ve got, give them some love with a hug, a kind text message or phone call, or a free Youtropolis postcard.

I agree that nurses fall into the category of unsung heroes. They do so much for little recognition. I can understand how these affirmations would help. I can use it for my own mental well-being too. Today's world brings headaches I thought I'd never have. Thanks for the post 🌞

Hate to say it but we lamely don't thank nurses for their service. Instead we thank service men, firefighters, or those who rescue others. It's always men who get the kudos. Yeah, we don't show much gratitude to women 'cause we take them for granted and expect them to take care of us at home and in hospitals and offices where men still think they deserve something extra out of them. I hope Covid changed that, but it doesn't look like it. There shouldn't need to be a poster with affirmations, but I'm glad there is. Nice you pointed it out.
