Is this goodbye to clean air in America?

The Clean Air Act, enacted in 1970, was one of the country’s first and most impactful environmental laws. Its regulatory measures were pivotal in reducing harmful airborne pollutants, and in the last 25 years, particulate air pollution has dropped by more than 30%.
Under the Trump administration, however, the Environmental Protection Agency is launching its largest deregulatory action in US history. As part of its “America First” agenda, the White House intends to unbridle manufacturing industries by allowing them to increase particulate air pollution without penalty.
With worsening air quality, a host of respiratory issues are expected to increase in the population. Neurological diseases like Parkinson’s and dementia have been linked to air pollution, as have depression and anxiety. All of this leads to more reliance on pharmaceutical drugs, increased healthcare costs, and diminished life quality.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin says the environmental regulation rollbacks are part of the administration's plan to “unleash the Golden Age of American prosperity,” but doing so makes for a sicker country.

This is why this administration is defunding and firing all scientists along with those who work at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Gone are the weather balloons that forecast hurricanes, tornadoes, atmospheric rivers. Gone are all air quality measures. Gone is public access to all proof positive scientific studies conducted by energy producers dating back to the 1970s. They simply don't care about protecting human life or ice caps melting. Trump's corporate donors are getting the deregulation they paid for.
