Is your bed dirtier than a toilet??

During the winter months, I like wearing socks to bed. Cold feet make falling and staying asleep difficult, and wearing socks can positively influence core body temperature to get quality sleep.
However, recent findings from a mattress company in the UK are truly cringe-worthy regarding this habit. A survey conducted by the company revealed that only 30% of bedtime sock wearers choose clean pairs. Lab tests conducted on socks worn all day showed they contained levels of bacteria that made them “dirtier than a toilet seat.” One type of bacteria in particular can cause skin, blood, and lung infections.
Despite these skin-crawling findings, wearing socks to bed for comfort and better sleep isn’t discouraged. In this article from The Healthy, you’ll learn the simple actions to prevent transferring dust mites, fungus, and even fecal matter onto your sheets, so you can rest easy knowing your bed is cleaner than a public bathroom.

It's best that what you wear to bed stays there, and what you wear out of bed stays out of the bed. Two totally separate environments as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the confirmation 👍
