New study underway to improve brain function
A significant portion of my personal training clients are mid-life and senior-aged. As you’d expect, potential advancements in slowing and improving cognitive decline are of great interest to them, and there’s news that I’ll be sharing.
A study focusing on improving memory and cognitive function has begun involving a handheld device called the US Pro2000. The device emits ultrasound waves, and researchers are hopeful it will prove to be an effective, non-medicinal method to improve memory and cognitive function.
Director of Research Dr. Helané Wahbeh says, “The device uses safe sound waves to stimulate brain activity, and we’re exploring its potential as an innovative, noninvasive treatment option.”
The study’s participants will apply the sound waves through the right side of the skull, just above the ear, three times daily for three weeks. Participants will complete online surveys before starting and monthly thereafter to assess changes in their memory, mood, and quality of life.
The specific treatment protocol was developed by biotech innovator Sterling Cooley, who has used it with approximately 1,000 patients, producing “anecdotally beneficial” evidence, based on observations and personal accounts rather than systematic scientific analysis.
If shown to improve cognitive function, hopefully the scientific community will get behind it to help bring the US Pro2000 to market at an affordable cost.

You're right, something that doesn't include a high likelihood of debilitating side effects.

Great piece of information... it would be a life changer for thousands if this US Pro2000 actually improves cognitive functioning and is affordable!
I'm always hopeful researchers will find ways to improve brain functioning.
