Struggle, resilience, and the human spirit
"We can look at our behavior, we can look at our thoughts, and we're full of compassion and empathy. And on a human's best day, we can do phenomenal, amazing things, and I put my hope in that."
These are the words of a woman repeatedly victimized in her life, experiences that have sent others understandably into the throes of addiction, despair, and early death.
She is resilience personified, seeing the world and herself through the lens of love and optimism. If a woman whose life was filled with trauma and danger can live with vibrance and positivity and see the good in others, can't we do the same?

What a brave, soulful, beautiful woman she is. After all she's been through, she gives the space in her heart to love, beauty, generosity, and kindness. Thank you for sharing this; it's filled with such love, hope, and joy.

Thanks for sharing this lady's beautiful story. She got right into my heart. She has more wisdom than any leader of any country.
Everything she said about life is spot on. My favorite quote from her is: "What makes us human is we can be better."

Amazing woman. She was totally inspiring. After all she went through, she could still find the light; choose to see the light.
Thank you so much for sharing. I shared it with one of my clients who was traumatized as a little girl.
