Emotional eating is a term we're all familiar with, and it's rarely if ever, perceived as positive. This applies to the health and fitness industry I work in.

In this article, dietician Mary Sabat, and psychotherapist, Paula Atkinson argue that all eating is inherently emotional, tied to survival, joy, community, and fun. The feel-good hormone dopamine plays a significant role in eating and indicates it's meant to be pleasure-inducing.

A very timely and relevant article. I love the point
that all eating is inherently "emotional." Something that often gets overlooked when the focus is on disordered eating or emotional eating.
