Empowered through powerlifting
It's never too late to get strong. At 71, Peeps Nichol, who was diagnosed with MS in 2005 and became a widow in 2020, thought she might take an interest in the swimming pool at the local gym.
All that changed when a coach introduced her to strength training, and after a few sessions, she was hooked. Now that she's deadlifting more than 120 pounds, Peeps plans to compete in her second powerlifting competition in the over-70 category. She says of her new passion, "It has made an almighty difference to how I feel about myself."
Thank you for the inspiration, Peeps!

I agree. The body is amazing in how it can reshape itself with effort at any age.

She's quite an inspiration. I guess I can step up the reps on my little 5-pound weights 😀
