Grab a burger and beer at The Sports Bra
Chef and trailblazer Jenny Nguyen has been striking gold since deciding to open "The Sports Bra," the nation's first sports bar exclusively featuring women's sports.
Located in Portland, Oregon, family recipes on the menu like Aunt Tina’s Vietnawings add to the tavern's uniqueness. In addition to breaking flawed perceptions about what such an establishment must be like, The Sports Bra gives back to the community by partnering with nonprofit organizations that support the underprivileged. Ms. Nguyen hosted a candlelight vigil after Florida's Club Q shooting and kept the bar's doors open all day for communal support after Roe v. Wade was struck down.
I learned about The Sports Bra from an ad campaign to boost Portland's tourism industry. I hope the campaign is profitable for the city and keeps The Sports Bra's seats filled.

Ha, I thought there was a typo in the title😃This sounds like an amazing place. In addition to supporting and celebrating women's sports, they obviously care deeply about their customers and their entire community and participate in a meaningful way. More businesses could take a lesson from them. Thanks for posting!

This story has all the elements of a true trailblazer. Opening a new business takes guts, but starting one that's the first of its kind goes beyond guts. It goes to a higher faith and deeper passion.
For this reason, I admire Jenny Nguyen. Her fortitude goes beyond serving up a great meal, too. She shows love for her family traditions and culture, and philanthropy to the community at large. In sum, she has all the stuff of a bonafide liberator, and her success appears to have spread into multiple touchpoints within the Portland community.
