Heart advice from a heart surgeon
Dr. Jeremey London is a cardiovascular surgeon who sees plenty of damaged hearts and clogged arteries on his operating table. In this article from Today, Dr. London details 6 things he avoids to keep his heart healthy and blood pressure well managed, including using mouthwash. That one was a surprise.
People who would be especially wise to listen to the doctor’s advice are the younger generations. “The actions you take today will impact your future self. Do him a favor by being good to yourself now,” was an important nugget of knowledge given to me by a former manager. It’s a great plan that I wholeheartedly encourage young people to adopt.

Thank you for posting this incredible article. The doctor’s credentials are top notch so his advice couldn’t be better…and quite illuminating (mouth wash) and really not all that hard to follow.

Great article! Lots of good info for all of us. And mouthwash was definitely a surprise.

If something as basic as mouthwash can harm your heart, it makes you wonder what other products we're using that are also detrimental to our health. And if doctors know this, where's the FDA warning label?
Thanks for the information!
