Findings from a recent study found that the bone health of omnivores was better than that of vegans. This is attributed to the fact that vegans typically consume less protein and calcium than those who eat an omnivorous diet (animal protein and plant mixture).
However, the study also brought good news. It concluded that strength training dramatically improves bone architecture in vegans when adequate protein is regularly ingested.
Three cheers for strength training, whose benefits go far beyond building muscle.

Thanks for posting this! I’m a vegetarian who can’t consume dairy. It’s a good reminder how important strength training is.
