A possible new lease on life for 80s rock star
As a teen, my favorite band was Duran Duran, and I still have some of their rare 12" singles on vinyl. When it was revealed last year that their original guitarist, Andy Taylor, was suffering from stage four prostate cancer, the news hit me viscerally, like he was a friend of mine.
Recently, Taylor announced that thanks to what he calls a "breakthrough drug," he is asymptomatic and could have five more productive years ahead of him.

He's fortunate this new treatment was available. It's great that he's been well enough to be in the studio. He sounds very grateful for this new hope. Maybe you'll be seeing him perform live again soon.

Sorry to hear.
I'm glad there's a new drug that buys him time. But if drug companies can make drugs to buy time, they can make drugs to cure a disease permanently. However, that would be bad for their bottom lines.
