The loneliness epidemic; what to do about it?
Being forced into extended isolation due to Covid has made it difficult for many people to find the will to reestablish friendships and personal connections. This is especially true for those without a partner. And children born during the pandemic are exhibiting stunted verbal and social skills.
This article speaks to the problems that stem from habitual loneliness and some mental shifts that can possibly help find the drive to reconnect.
In my opinion, the writer seems to be coming from the perspective that the threat of Covid is behind us. Hopefully, he's right but I'd like to hear other points of view—has the writer ignored a valid concern that motivates some people to continue isolating?
