Guerrilla Crosswalks.
I hadn't heard of these before, but guerrilla crosswalks are those where regular citizens, without authority or permission, grab some paint and create crosswalks at dangerous intersections.
It's amazing how a city can quickly and efficiently remove a guerrilla crosswalk, yet bureaucratic red tape prevents "official" and desperately needed ones from being authorized and created.
