Eat fat to lose fat!
A number of years ago, as part of a comprehensive physical fitness assessment, I had some metabolic testing done. This was when I learned that I was a “carb burner”—a body that relies heavily on carbohydrates for energy while largely leaving body fat alone. It goes without saying that it’s more desirable to be a fat burner. My body’s preference for carbs as a primary fuel source came from years of high intensity training, sleep issues, and a perpetual state of being “on”.
The health coach who administered the assessment had a few recommendations: super low intensity cardio, daily sessions of relaxation breathing, and an increase in dietary fat intake. This was when I learned the connection between eating fat in order to burn more of it. When I tested four months later, the results showed a significantly higher utilization of stored fat.
Many of us will remember a couple of decades ago when dietary fat was the villain that should be avoided and I currently have conversations with people who understandably stick with their non-fat dairy and skim milk.
This article discusses the benefits that come from consuming certain fats and includes 20 healthy fat foods that won’t make you fat.

Yes! Heavy cream in coffee. I'll go for that along with more dark chocolate. But no thanks on the wood chips in grated cheese, or duck feathers and human hair in bread products. What a revelation! To learn more about those shocking additives, just click "wood chips" underlined in yellow in the article shared above.
Thanks for posting the good news along with the not-so-good.
