A Woman's Intuition Leads To A Rescue
When experienced hiker Nancy Abel met Katharina Groene from Germany hiking the Pacific Crest Trail near Sultan, Washington, she tried to warn her that winter conditions in Washington's Cascade Mountains were arriving fast. Katharina thanked her, but said she was well prepared and continued on alone.
After several days and more stormy weather on the way, Nancy couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to do something. She said her mother's intuition kept nagging her to make a rescue call.
Once you watch the video, you’ll understand how important it was to follow her intuition. We may not always understand where that inner nudge comes from, but stories like this remind us it shouldn’t be ignored.

Thank you for sharing this tearful heartfelt life saving story.
Not everyone's nudges will be as dramatic, however, they
could be life changing.
Well Street is so correct about following one's nudges!

Thank goodness, Nancy didn't hold back on that phone call any longer. Intuition is very powerful if we pay attention and trust it. I'm happy you liked the story and commented 😀

There's so much that's amazing about this story. The fact that Katharina walked 2500 miles is incredible, and to have the self-confidence to do it alone is, well, amazing.
The Sheriff's department could have easily decided to spare its resources and dismiss Nancy's hunch. Bless whoever in the department believed her intuition was enough to go on.
And could Katharina, who had lost faith in humanity's goodness, receive a clearer message that she was sorely wrong?
Thank you for posting.

This was a wonderful story about how God steps in, even when God was not invited in. Nancy was listening and following her gut, Katharina was ignoring and dismissing it because she didn't want to fail in her quest. But God found an open heart and mind in Nancy. And, boy, did she go out of her way to follow that nudge.
I believe God rescues us more often than we'll ever know. So keep paying attention to those oddball, non sequitur thoughts that surface when you're busy thinking about other stuff. That's an angel, or God, or a loving voice from the other side hoping to get your attention.

Cool story. Instincts are power. When we use them we thrive and find our way through the rough spots sooner. And like in this story, we can also help others survive their own challenges if they aren't mindful enough themselves.

We definitely have a smarter self. We just have to pay attention to it. Thanks for you comment.
