A happy ending

I’m a fan of happy endings, so when I heard about Valerie, a ten-pound mini dachshund that had been missing for over a year and was miraculously found alive and well, my heart soared.
Valerie disappeared from a remote campsite on Kangaroo Island in southern Australia, but after days of searching, her heartbroken family had to leave the island without her. More than seventeen months later, they were still struggling with her loss when they received word that a farmer had spotted a small black dog running through his field. It was Valerie.
You can read about Valerie's happy ending after 529 days alone in the Australian bush here.

Truly a happy ending. Sweet story and amazing. It made me happy to read this little family's wish came true. We all need more stories with happy endings like this one.

Well Street
This pup's survival seems miraculous, so I had to learn which predators live on Kangaroo Island.
Due to its isolation, there are relatively few native predatory species. The island is home to monitor lizards, owls, and other native birds of prey. Introduced predators include feral cats and pigs, and red foxes.
Yep, this story is a miracle, and I know Valerie's owners would agree.
