Wishful thinking

Wish has not yet been granted
Wishing Well

We’ve all heard someone say, “They’re just wishful thinking” or “You’re just wishful thinking.” When it’s said, it’s not meant as an encouragement for you to pursue your wishes, rather it’s usually said in a condescending tone that infers you might as well give up before you start because it’s not going to happen. Or if you’ve already started your “wishful thinking” venture, you should stop now before you waste any more time on it.

I propose we change these mainstream views toward “wishful thinking” to one of radical positivity and joy. Instead of snickering behind someone’s back or criticizing them to their face, let’s celebrate and support “wishful thinkers” with encouragement, cheer them on in rough times, and ask, “How can I help.”

There are millions of wishful thinkers in this world holding fast to their dream. I dedicate this wish to all who nurture such wishes—don’t stop your wishful thinking. Wishes create miracles and miracles change lives for the better. Speak your wish proudly, work hard, ask for support, be kind, and have your wish come true.

I believe the most downtrodden people are those who cannot for whatever reason realize their dreams. I full-heartedly support this wish.

Wishful thinkers who work hard toward their goals, no matter their age or background, are like Olympic athletes. We should all cheer them on. If we did, the world would be filled with happy, accomplished people.

This is a beautiful, uplifting wish, so thank you for posting! I will remember it.

Thanks for supporting "wishful thinkers." I think we need more of them in today's world.

Those who ridicule or try to discourage wishful thinkers often envy the confidence these thinkers possess to have aspirations and doggedly pursue them.

Thank you for creating this wish for life-changing miracles around the world.
