When a cat wants your attention, they'll get it...
Cats have clever ways of getting attention; some subtle, some not so subtle. The kitty in this photo is a feral who's primarily fed by a very kind neighbor who calls her Little Bit. Little Bit comes here to lounge on the backyard divan and to get treats.
Her appearance for the treats almost always coincides with our mealtimes. She peers in through the glass door to announce her arrival and sits waiting for us to deliver her treats.
Her timing was off this morning; apparently, no one was in the kitchen when she arrived, so she found another way to get our attention as we sat in the library. We laughed out loud when we saw her staring at us from the top of the arch.
Even though Little Bit won't allow anyone near her, she has crafty ways of getting the attention she wants and giving us some laughs at the same time. It's a win-win relationship.

She was likely thinking that it was your timing that was off, not hers.

That's precious! They have their ways, don't they. We are going through the same experience with Max, our morning visitor. He is to the point now that he comes to us to get his food, no longer scared. And now just walks between our legs wanting to be petted.
