"Ring of Fire" Solar Eclipse
Oct
14
On Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse will cross North, Central, and South America. An annular solar eclipse happens as the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth when it is at or near its farthest point from Earth. The Moon appears as a dark disk on top of a larger, bright disk, creating what looks like a ring around the Moon, thus the name "Ring of Fire" eclipse.
Be aware that you will have to use special eclipse glasses to safely view the eclipse.
You can also watch the Exploratorium's livestream at: https://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse/livestream
For more information on the path of the annular solar eclipse and times to view, see: https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/eclipses/2023/oct-14-annular/where-when/

I will not be in town. I will be in South Carolina. Will I still be able to see it from there?
Slipstream
Take a look at the path link in the post. It looks like it will be a partial eclipse, 40-50%. And the live stream can be seen wherever you are.
