Imagine... you could be the reason someone believes in the goodness of humanity. You can set the example. You can choose to be the change you wish to see in the world. You can do it. And the world will be a better place.

Of all the people I've experienced in my life, I'm quite sure that most people struggle to be kind. They may be well schooled in politeness, and they may be generous with their money, but kindness comes from a deeper empathic place of genuine concern for another's wellbeing and happiness. Many people will go out of their way to adopt a stray dog or cat, but will they extend that same permanent kindness to a friend who's become jobless and is living in a car?

I was having a conversation today with my sister on the phone, and I realized it’s so easy for some to look past someone’s hurt, to be blind to that person, so you don’t have to be kind, caring or help, I see her doing this with her step daughter. It breaks my heart to see my sister’s lack of actions or care and it breaks my heart for my niece. Human nature always surprises me good and bad.

It's said that a way to lift your spirits is to show kindness to someone.

If I knew someone viewed me as a reason to believe in the goodness of humanity, I would feel humbled and honored. If more people looked at kindness through such a powerful lens, we'd likely witness such acts frequently.

I agree 100%.
