Making Summer Vacation Special

When I was a teenager, summer meant hanging out with friends, going swimming, riding my bike, and enjoying as much free time as possible.

Gracie Martinez had something very different in mind for her summer. She decided to use her 3D-printing skills to build a mobility chair for a child with disabilities for about $150 in materials, instead of the thousands of dollars these chairs can cost.

What makes this story even more special is the support Gracie received. Her school and teacher encouraged her, and TEAMability is putting the chair to work. And now Gracie wants to teach other students to build more chairs.

I have to admit, I get pretty disillusioned with what I see in the world today. But then a story like this reminds me that there are still so many good people willing to give their time, talents, and hearts to help others, and this gives me hope for our future.
