Coding to make a difference
I find Jay’Aina “Jay Jay” Patton’s story incredibly inspiring. At just 16, she’s already empowering people to embrace coding and technology, making a real impact through the Unlock Academy. Her journey shows us that we don’t have to wait to make a difference—we can shape the future right now, just like Jay Jay.

There's so much to love about this story.
We don't often hear about the incarcerated who turn their lives around while in prison. Unknowingly, Jay Jay's dad set the wheels in motion for her path by getting on his own.
Her perfectionism, as she calls it, is of the healthy variety. Instead of getting mired in thoughts like, "This will never be good enough," she believes in herself and her skill set enough to envision and create an amazing end product.
Thank you for posting this inspiring story.
