Ants - Pests or Geniuses?

I've complained about ants taking over my kitchen after a rain on many occasions, but I was stunned to read about their genius capabilities. Scientists discovered an abandoned ant hill and a hidden underground mega-city. After pumping three days and 10 tons of concrete into the ground, they, too, were amazed at what they'd unearthed.

This is astounding. I remember learning in school that ants possess immense physical strength, but for a collective to construct such a city, they must communicate by some type of telepathy.
I can only imagine what human society would look like if we had such communication and cooperation.
