Guardian Angels to the Rescue
Principal Rob Burnside didn't know one of his students was homeless. As circumstances unfolded, Rob saw an opportunity to help and took a chance that cost him his job but gave that student a permanent home and family.
I wish for more miracles like this one, thanks to the courage and goodness of Rob and his wife, Angel.

This is such a clear example of two people who have their heart in the right place, and a school district that does not.

You're so right! I hope Rob finds a fantastic job that matches his big heart.
Well Street
I bet every school district in the country would say they want all their principals to be empathetic, but for this district, there are clearly limits to that empathy.
This report is correct in that the overwhelming majority of principals would process that paperwork and send the student off without consideration of the circumstances. Guided by a higher power, Mr. Burnside knew to take greater action.

I agree, the higher power gave him the courage to make the tough choice.
