Witness to goodness
As I pulled into the Whole Foods parking lot a couple of days ago, I saw an older woman with a cane struggling with a misbehaving shopping cart.
Nearby, there was a young man who trotted over to grab another cart, moved her broken cart out of the way, and positioned the new one in front of her. She beamed with relief and gratitude.
I was happy that I just happened to arrive at the right moment to see this sweet gesture. I’ve thought about it several times since then, and it makes me smile.
