Homeless man invited to eat
I read a story this week that has stayed with me. A man who was living on the streets walked into El Sur Street Food Co. in Little Rock and asked if the restaurant had any food to spare. Instead of being rejected, the person at the counter said he’d love to pay for his meal, and then asked what he’d like off the menu. He was offered recommendations and invited to sit, just like any other patron.
After reading headline after headline about abuse and brutality being the new norm in our country, this gesture of genuine care and human regard touched me. It gives me hope that generosity, compassion, and goodness are gaining ground. I’m grateful for stories like this because they spotlight the kind of humanity we want more of and desperately need.
If you have a heartwarming story, please share it in a post or in the comments below.

Well Street
This homeless man knew that walking into a restaurant and asking for spare food risked being treated without dignity and removed unceremoniously. Blessings to this employee for their empathy and desire to help someone brave enough to ask for a hand.

Thanks for sharing this story. Warms my heart. Everyone feeds a stray cat, but not people. Go figure. God bless both these folks.
