Should Greenlanders Take The Bait?
Greenland is not for sale. Despite that, Trump never takes no for an answer. He wants Greenland, and the administration is discussing buying off Greenlanders to the tune of $10,000 - $100,000 per person to secede from Denmark. This would come close to $6 billion of U.S. tax payer money.
What do you think? Should the people of the U.S. fund that bill, or should it come out of the sale of one of Trump's meme coins, or should billionaires, who stand to profit the most, be taxed for the full amount?
One thing to keep in mind: the median monthly income among Greenlanders is under $3000. If they become citizens of the U.S., they will have to pay for their own very expensive U.S. healthcare and will become impoverished as a result.
Should Greenlanders take the bait if this offer lands in their mailboxes? What are your thoughts?

I've read that most of the Greenlanders are Inuit. Alaska also has Inuit and other indigenous populations. "How has becoming a U.S. state made your lives better?" might be a good question for the Inuit people of Greenland to ask the indigenous people of Alaska. It's been made very clear that the acquisition of Greenland is for its natural resources, not to make its citizens lives better.

True. The citizens are well aware now and have chosen to stay with Denmark. But Trump is not taking no for an answer. This is about expanding the United States territory and making that part of his "great" legacy. The American people are largely against him on this one.

They're being lied to about any benefits, but money talks. It might be a lot more money than they've seen in their lifetime. It's a powerful incentive. But over the long haul they'll come to regret it. So, no, they should stay put in Denmark's care. Denmark, on the other hand, should pony up and make Greenlanders a similar, more lucrative offer to avoid secession and improve their quality of life.

Denmark can't make a more financially lucrative offer than the US, so I'd be curious to learn what such an offer would entail. Not having DJT as their president may be the best incentive.

As part of the president's promise to have the most transparent administration in US history, he's admitted to Denmark's PM that his big push for acquisition is all because he was "snubbed" by the Nobel committee.
The smoke and mirrors of rare Earth minerals and global safety have faded, just as they did with Venezuela and its fentanyl coming into the US.

Funny thing is, it was the prime minister of Norway he sent it to, not Denmark's. Here's the text he sent:
«Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT»
