Women’s Equality Day, celebrated every August 26, is all about uplifting and empowering women, and celebrating how far women have progressed, defying all odds and oppression. It commemorates the passage of women’s suffrage in the U.S. and honors the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920. Congress designated August 26 as Women’s Equality Day in 1971.
Celebrate this day and remember the heroic women who faced violence and discrimination so we would have the right to vote.
