Renaissance painter Fra Angelico exhibits

Fra Angelico paintings are scheduled for exhibit at Palazzo Strozzi and Museo di San Marco, Florence. It’s the first large-scale exhibition devoted to the Renaissance painter in the city where he once worked in roughly 70 years.

Fra Angelico’s lush religious scenes situate Biblical subject matter in settings that looked and felt contemporary—a departure from Medieval art.

If you're fortunate enough to be traveling in Italy, between September 26, 2025, and January 25, 2026, put this Florence exhibit on your itinerary. You’re unlikely to find so many works by him—140, to be exact, spread across two museums—in Florence, or anywhere else in Italy, again anytime soon.
