It started with scribbling on the walls...

News Flash

As parents, we try to teach our children right from wrong, good manners, and accepted behavior. A child scribbling on the walls of the family’s apartment is something most parents wouldn’t allow for a multitude of reasons, but Santiago Daniel’s mom saw how happy it made the ten-month-old and decided to let him scribble to his heart’s content.

Now four years old, Santiago Daniel has become quite the artist with his own technique. It raises the question, what’s accepted behavior and what’s not? Are the guardrails that parents put up for their kids actually stifling their imagination and creativity? Watch Daniel paint and then decide. I'm interested in what you think.

His mother has a great point when she says repainting a wall is a small price to set loose her child's passion.
I wonder if his talent, which to my eye is immense, would have developed in the same way had she given him sketch-type books to use in place of walls.

Nevertheless, bravo to them both. Should art continue to be Santiago's passion, I'd say his future will be a bright one.
