"I have autism and I'm not broken."

News Flash

At a recent  Princeton Public Schools' Board of Education meeting, nine-year-old Teddy pushed back against Robert Kennedy Jr.'s statements, "autism destroys families", "they'll never hold a job, they'll never play baseball, they'll never write a poem, they'll never go out on a date."  Watch what Teddy has to say about that.

Ok, Teddy is a rockstar putting RFK Jr. on blast.

I wasn't reading that well or nearly as articulate at age 9. It seems he enjoys a level of self-acceptance that eludes many without "disabilities."

Thank you for sharing.

I really enjoyed Teddy's speech. So articulate and full of passion as he spoke. He's a lot smarter and has a better vocabulary than anyone in the White House and Congress.

Well put. I'm glad he said all of that, and I'm glad he was embraced by his school district for so doing. Clearly a lot of work was put into that speech!

I agree. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

It seems Teddy learned early on how to exercise his right to "speak truth to power." May he always have the courage to be extraordinary in role modeling the mark of a good citizen.
