Good things are happening
I always love to share stories that uplift me, especially when it’s about people doing something positive for each other. This story could be a movie: a group of high school kids in Boulder, Colorado, team up with Habitat for Humanity and the city of Boulder to transform an old bus lot into affordable housing. The kids get to learn construction skills, which makes them fully employable after high school, and residents get affordable homes. Ingenious? I think so.
Good things are happening everywhere in this world. This is just one example. If you find a positive story, please share it. I think we could all benefit from reading more about the bright side instead of all the dark madness the mainstream media selectively features.

This type of program is what Senator Warnock talked about in his recent remarks at the Center for American Progress. It's about giving young people dignity through good jobs and shifting educational programs away from STEM toward jobs AI can't do. It also creates a greater supply of affordable homes so that younger people can dream about owning a home once more.

So many wins in this story. I especially appreciate how it benefits those constructing the homes—learning valuable skills while working in a safe, climate-controlled building with biomechanically sound work stations to lower the risk of repetitive-use injuries.
I heard the cost of one of these homes will range between three hundred and five hundred thousand dollars. That certainly isn't small beans, but far better than the average one-million-plus price tag in Colorado.

What a great article...thank you. Something positive...refreshing and hopeful.
It does speak to the reality that trade schools are booming these days especially in the Gen Z population rather than pursuing a 4 year degree.
Habitat for Humanity is doing great work fostering community connections and making our world a better place to live.
