Summer Solstice & the Strawberry Moon

Ring in the summer solstice on Friday, June 21 sky watching with your family and friends. This year’s strawberry moon is predicted to be extra large and very low in the sky—"the lowest we’ve seen in years” according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
If you live in Los Angeles, expect to see it at its fullest at 6:08 p.m. Friday, but, as a special treat, it will appear full from Thursday evening through Sunday morning. Happy Summer!
