I've been thinking about this. I think humans don't like people who are hurting them. Sadly, the political news media thrives on dividing us by making us believe the other side is hurting us. They don't talk about our differences being perceptions rather than reality. They keep stirring the roiling political pot instead of helping us look deeper at the issues.
