These scare tactics are used in fascist countries to intimidate, silence, and control citizens…countries like Iran, Russia, and China. Now we've joined to the club. So heartbreaking.

Maybe since ICE is being sued for violating constitutional rights and they're losing their cases in court and having to shell out large payments, they'll be forced once and for all to put an end to this gestapo tactic. Yesterday, they shot a man in the stomach at a traffic stop and killed him, then defended themselves with their usual lies. This is not the America I grew up in. It's not feeling great at all! Take me back to the days when police officers didn't deck out in combat gear and shoot immigrants.

We're living in what used to be referred to as "Big Brother" times. We're being watched and followed, and if you dare speak up, you can be hauled off to some unknown location. Being free to criticize the government used to be a free speech right, but not now, and it's only getting worse. I'm afraid we're only experiencing the very beginning of what this regime plans. We're not safe to speak our minds, and that makes me very sad and worried.

This is frightening, but not entirely surprising, as to how they knew Mr. Streever's whereabouts. We've seen movies, the Jason Bourne series comes to mind, where facial recognition tech, closed-circuit cameras, license plate scanners, and cell phone SIM card tracking are available to government agencies. We know it's not merely Hollywood stuff.
The fact that it's being used against US citizens who are guilty of nothing, instead of true terrorist threats, is the real crime.
