Face Your Challenges!

Often, we dread challenges that come our way. And usually it's for a good reason. Challenges typically arise that are quite tough and turn our days, sometimes are entire lives, on its axis.
But think about this, when you face a challenge and overcome it, it is a huge accomplishment. You grow stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.
While we're going through whatever it is, it may feel like it's never going to end. The pain and hardship feels overwhelming. But think about all the challenges you've faced in your life. Are you better now for them? Have you grown from your experiences?
Personally, the most difficult times in my life have caused the most growth for me.
So I say, let's look Challenge in the eye. And beat it. We will come out stronger on the other side.

Life's a puzzle with a million pieces. It stands to reason we'd get frustrated when we can't find the right piece at the time we'd like. Sometimes you have to focus on other areas that are working and feel that blessing, then face the tougher pieces when you're feeling uplifted. I agree, we always seem to come out stronger, so that's a good thing. Thanks!

Years ago, my client was betrayed by his business partners and ousted from the company he had built. He gave himself 24 hours to grieve, then the next day he bought a new computer and fax machine and got to work on his next idea, certain of his success. What a gift to bounce back from that type of adversity with rock-solid self-belief and determination.
Often, what makes challenges and the unknown so intimidating is the belief that we don't have what it takes to handle them, that they'll surely get the best of us.
Seeing challenges as growth opportunities is tougher than most self-help books say, but you're right, that's where growth builds. I'm on board with feeling stronger on the other side.

There are those who face challenges as a Stoic. They soldier on, pushing aside any notion of difficulty and burying any hint of emotion. They don't complain. They don't grieve. They shut down. If they reflect at all, it's on the stoic beliefs they've adopted for themselves. They've learned that's how the strong survive in the face of challenge. I wonder if they, too, come out stronger.
