I've never been much of a fan of Tulsi Gabbard. But she did the right thing in making this video. It took courage because she knows Trump will sideline her and likely later fire her.
Trump needed to see this video before agreeing to go along with Netanyahu. Maybe now he won't make the same mistake President George Bush made 22 years ago when he launched his war after falsely claiming Iraq's Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
The stakes are much higher now, and Tulsi knows she's poking the bear by making this video, but I'm not sure why she's risking her position—I'm just glad she posted it and appreciate you sharing it.
The hosts of The Bulwark podcast took a far different view of the video. When she speaks of a "political elite and warmongers carelessly fomenting fear and tension," the hosts believe she's referring to Democrats who want to continue supporting Ukraine, ultimately leading to nuclear war between the US and Russia.
There's been no shortage of talking heads claiming Iran is very close to nuclear warhead capability, and taking that away from them is worth whatever risks may come from the US joining Israel and the attack.
I hope Miss Gabbard created this video as a plea to the Trump administration to choose a diplomatic path to end the conflict, and not as a surreptitious warning to voters to beware of the ruthless "deep state" Democrats.
It's certainly possible that's where she's coming from exclusively, but we do know she testified that Iran is not close to having a nuclear bomb, and Trump has dismissed that. Of course there are also risks to driving a bunker buster bomb deep into the earth to blow up Iran's uranium enrichment facility, but that also gives Putin permission to use his own bombs to settle his war with Ukraine rather than engage in diplomacy.
Thank you all for your comments. Tulsi's been a bit of a loose cannon. I'm not criticizing or defending. I just gotta say, not surprised she's been sidelined. She didn't toe the line, went rogue for a day or two. Now she's crawling her way back, or at least trying, by confirming the bunker busters did loads of damage. Can't trust that, now can we.
Trump got his liver all in a boil over the initial reports out of the CIA. Made his "obliteration" questionable. Now everyone's in sync, singing the same tune: no one really knows yet if the uranium was removed prior to the strike. It takes time to figure these things out. Bottom line, I'm happy there's a ceasefire and everyone on all sides of the war with Iran deserve some credit for cooling their jets. Let's hope this sticks.
And I'm still gonna give Tulsi a thumbs up for that horrifying video she posted. Since all those films on nukes that came out in the 1980s, there's new generations of clueless people who think nukes are okay. Even Trump wondered why they shouldn't be used. Maybe some folks got an important eye-opener after seeing Tulsi's film. Let's hope so.

Like you, I'm not a big supporter of hers, but in this case, I applaud her courage. Thanks for posting this powerful video.
