Watch A Liberator In Action

Knowledge

Sometimes, people ask me, "What's a liberator? What does that really mean?" The short video below is one way to answer this question.

Although this story is an example of an urgent need for liberation, we all need someone in our corner who will lift us when we've fallen.

Being a liberator is about stepping up to help someone who's down. A liberator tunes into the needs of others and offers support.

As this video shows, there are all kinds of messes that one can inadvertently fall into, no matter how young or old. Sometimes, there's a loud cry for help. Other times there is suffering in silence—a feared illness, inability to pay the rent, a beloved child's drug addiction, failing a college exam.

With endless problems in life, we may all need a liberator to help us through a difficult time. Likewise, there will be ample opportunities for us to be the liberator in someone else's life.

A world that applauds strongmen and tolerates corruption, is a world that feels itself out of control and no longer safe. Mostly it believes no one is helping them. So it puts all of its hopes into an imagined liberator, a savior—or even a corrupt dictator.

Dictators, of course, have never made the world safe. No single person can. This is why we all need to embrace a liberator mindset.

When someone is struggling to pick themselves up, we can offer calming words, a helping hand, or insights that restore their sense of worth. Love is the role of a true liberator.

Well Street

If not caught on video, this would be hard to believe. It's amazing how the monkey, realizing it can't get the kitten out by itself, seems to summon for help.

The monkey's affection for the kitten after the rescue is so touching. A display of love and empathy that humans could learn a great deal from.

Thank you for posting.

Oh my gosh, pass the kleenex! My heart was so touched by this act of goodness from one creature to another. This little video should be shown in schools making the points you made in your article. Thanks so much for finding this video and writing the perfect words to go along with it. I'm still dabbing my eyes, but my heart if full.
