New Is Coming

Knowledge

This is an excerpt from Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper. I found it relevant and relatable and somehow comforting. She poses some "beautiful questions."

"My friends, something big is indeed asking to be born—in our country and in each of us. The old is dying. The new is struggling to come to the forefront. In fact, I believe each of us is being called to act in a new way, live in a new way, and care for one another and our world in a new way. I believe everything that used to be is now being transformed before our very eyes. Our politics. Our media institutions. Our language. The way the genders interact. The way the young view the old, and vice versa. It’s all in need of transformation, and it’s happening, whether we like it or not.

What does that mean, exactly? That is a question each of us gets to answer for ourselves. For me, it starts within my soul—listening to my voice and being in conversation with my God. Every morning, I sit with the question: Who am I to become now? Where is my work leading me? What do you want me to see, God? Where should I focus my seeing, my rebirth?"

Thank you for sharing this. Indeed, all our questions are far too big for us to handle on our own. Conversations with our Higher Power to ground us in Truth is the path to take.

Beautiful and relevant questions, indeed.

I've written these down to use as meditative prompts. Thank you!
