Built in 1903, the frame structure served also as a high school and center of civic life.

I think moving entire buildings was more common then. I haven't seen it in a long time. Maybe because there's not a square inch available in Los Angeles now😊 Very cool photo!

The fact this building served as a high school is incredible. The area's population of high school-aged students must have been minuscule when it was built.

Very cool. The image makes me wonder what prayers were heard in that church back in 1903. Not sure what was happening then other than that was when the first World Series took place. I betcha lots of folks walked to that church or came by horse with or without a carriage before it got moved. Simple life back then! Thanks for taking and sharing this picture.
