A miracle I would perform if I could

I’d help people view life through a more humane lens—one that illumines the simple elegance and joyfulness of daily living.

What I need most

To interrupt one’s illusion that life is negative. If your glass is half-empty, be the one to fill it up.

What I have to give

My goal is to help everyone notice the interesting, unnoticed perfections in life and how everything humane interacts with it.

What liberates me

Being out and about with my camera and stumbling upon those interesting, everyday interactions that coincide with an automobile and its surrounding landscape.

One of my proudest achievements so far

Receiving the George Polk Award for news photography, along with being a Pulitzer Prize nominee as a staff photographer for the Los Angeles bureau of the Associated Press.
