Saturday matinees, a long established tradition at movie houses across the country, are a prime source of revenue for theaters and an excellent method of instilling the movie-going habit in the neighborhood kiddies. It is a three-hour period (depending on the length of the shows) where the housewife can get rid of the kids. It is the part of the week where children, ranging from three to eleven years of age, can delight in the adventures of Godzilla, and laugh at the adventures of Mr. M'Goo. It is a time of frustration, humor, and hysterics for the theater employees.

Fun photo! Has anyone ever seen the movie "The Incredible Mr. Limpet?" I never heard of it until seeing this photo and poster displayed in the "Now Playing!" window.

I went to my share of movies as a kid but I never witnessed anything like the scene in this photo. It looks like it would have been a great time.
