Comments Are The Heart And Soul Of Youtropolis

Recently, as part of our design upgrade, we made the decision to “nest” replies to comments. This means you can read comments without having to scroll through replies to comments that don't interest you. You can see what nesting looks like in the images above.

In the first image, you'll see that the comment balloon displays the number 4, indicating there are a total of 4 comments and replies. You can also see that only two comments appear on this post in sequential order. Beneath each comment, notice the comment balloon indicates one reply. When you click that comment balloon, the reply will open down as shown in the second image. When you reply to a comment and post it, it will appear nested beneath the comment you replied to. Just click the reply balloon beneath that comment as shown above to display the reply.

Comments are the heart and soul of Youtropolis. We know that in whatever language they are posted, they can be life affirming and uplifting. As a social safety net, our first goal is to help all our members feel safe while interacting with each other. This means giving everyone a safe space in which to share their thoughts, hopes, dreams, and opinions. For this reason, we encourage you to help us fulfill this promise by reporting offensive comments. You can do this by clicking the 3-dot menu and selecting “report this comment.”

We can all agree the era we live in is troubled. And yet, challenges bring each of us new opportunities to refashion the conditions that made it so.
