Our President Has Spoken

News Flash

Today, in an unprecedented speech given at Valley Forge, President Joe Biden warned his fellow citizens of the peril American democracy faces in 2024. Biden, who has typically avoided harsh campaign rhetoric or attacks on his opponent, passionately and succinctly drew our attention to the threat by using former President Trump’s own words:

“Trump is now promising a full-scale campaign of revenge and retribution, his words, for some years to come. They were his words, not mine. He went on to say he’d be a dictator on day one.

He called for, and I quote, the termination of all the rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the U.S. Constitution if it fits his will.

He calls those who oppose him vermin. He talks about the blood of America being poisoned, echoing the same exact language used in Nazi Germany.

He proudly posts on social media the words that best describe his 2024 campaign. Quote, revenge, quote, power, and quote, dictatorship. There’s no confusion about who Trump is, what he intends do.

Once again, he’s saying he won’t honor the results of the election if he loses…He still doesn’t understand that basic truth and that is you can’t love your country only when you win.”

In his closing remarks, Biden asks one powerful question: We know who Trump is, but who are we? This is a question every American must consider carefully as we approach the next, and possibly last, US presidential election. View video of full speech below:

So true, really time to wake up .

It's frightening the words and phrases that are being thrown out as campaign fodder for the far right. However, they don't seem to understand that the dictatorship that's promised will benefit only the one speaking these words and the other "richest of the rich" of the world.

I have faith that Heaven will deem us worth protecting and intervene to "save our bacon."

A client of mine who was a significant donor to the party in the past has been wishing for the president's speechwriters to take off the kid gloves and stop using sugar-coated language.

Perhaps my client is getting his wish.
