Something New!
While in South Carolina visiting my brothers, I had the chance to visit with my talented sister-in-law, Lee Ann. She can make or cook just about anything.
Often, in the evenings, she'd sit in her chair and crochet. Every year she makes scarfs for the homeless. This is something I used to do (crocheting), many moons ago, but had forgotten how to do it.
She told me she'd made a baby blanket for her third grand baby. At that moment, I asked her to teach me how to make one, and she did.
I paid a visit to Amazon when I got back home and bought some pretty yarn and crochet hooks. As soon as I received my supplies, I started on the blanket. It's coming along fabulously and I can't wait to surprise my son and his wife with it after my little grandson is born in January!
I'm happy to have started something new. It's relaxing and fun.
What can you try that's new to you?

Wonderful! That baby boy will be toasty warm wrapped in the love you put into that blanket. I used a power hedger for something new to try 😀

I still love the beautiful blanket you crocheted for me many years ago. I was so awed by it because you used three colors that matched my sanctuary. It was also stunning to look at and masterfully made. But most of all, I was amazed that anyone would take time to handcraft something so special and time-consuming just for me. I know your baby blanket will be a hit!
