Do something different!

Sometimes in order to achieve something different, we have to do something different. That might feel scary, especially if it's something we've never done before.

It's easy to stay in our comfort zone. When you think about it, however, what exciting things happen there? It's typically a snooze fest. But it feels quite cozy.

Is there something new you'd like to try but fear keeps getting in the way? Maybe a new type of food, a different restaurant, a new hobby? Yoga?

There's plenty out there to explore. You just have to be willing to do so.

This week challenge yourself to try something different. Maybe a new body lotion, a different book genre ... I don't know what it will be for you, but give it a go.

And don't forget to have fun in the process!

Our routine gets so comfortable, it makes doing something different very unattractive. But you're right, change is good. Our brains have trouble computing change at first, but they'll get used to it pretty quickly. Thanks for the encouragement 🌞

I am encouraging myself as well. Two days ago, I stopped at Once Read Books and bought a book I wouldn't normally read which takes place in the 1900's. It's definitely stepping out of my psychological thriller comfort zone.

I think people feel stuck in their routines, like they don't have time to do anything different because everything they're doing is extremely necessary. So, what you're suggesting is a bit like playing hooky and throwing caution to the wind. So I took your advice and enjoyed ice cream cone which I haven't had in a couple of years. Maybe a sundae will be next.
