Flying high once again

This young owl was rescued from a cement mixer. He was found covered in cement and taken to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. There, they performed a genius procedure to replace his lost feathers. Now, he's flying high and will get his own feathers back after molting season.

These animal lovers must get immense gratification from their work.
Getting caught in a cement mixer must have been traumatic. I know some animals in the wild will shake their bodies vigorously after escaping a predator to release the trauma energy. I wonder if owls and other birds do the same thing.
