No, Venezuela's population is not out celebrating, anymore than Gaza's population welcomed Israel's bombs or Ukrainians cheered Russian tanks crossing their borders.
What would you think if China dropped some bombs over Washington, DC, yanked Donald and Melania out of the country to face accusations in a Chinese court, and declared they would “run” the country from now on?

This latest action, unauthorized by the way, should not surprise anyone. That Maduro is now out as president, is a good thing. We tried to remove Castro and failed. How much better Cuba would be today had we succeeded.
That our government has decided that they will now run Venezuela, is simply replacing one dictatorship with another from a country that has no right to rule. This dangerous proposition will fail. Venezuela is an independent country and will be governed by Venezuelians. .
The belief that decisions are being made by POTUS, is as absurd as is his moronic behavior. This episode in history is being driven by Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth. POTUS is suffering from Frontal Lobe dementia. This moment in time will be the final nail in the MAGA coffin. Yes, it is about oil as have all recent hostilities been.

That admission was likely a slip-up. Naturally, the mouthpieces around Trump are claiming he liberated Venezuelans from the scourge of socialism, applauding him, saying Cuba is next. So, yeah, fentanyl and blown up fishing boats were the distraction so Trump could test the waters before the real heist was executed. Now we're in possession of their oil. How sad that we have to steal from other nations to make ourselves great again.
